Blessed Fillip

Gorge thyself on the fruits of faith;
And let truth be thy food:
For the Lord is our inheritance;
Accrued and kept in a pleasing place.
Forfend thee thy chafing at the wicked;
Flee the invidia that attends at envy's hand:
Jubilate and exult only in the Lord,
And He shall give thee the desires of thy heart,
For He is the begetter of all good things.
Trust ye also in His goodness,
And you shall dwell securely in the land;
In a sure and constant peace.
Devolve thy ways upon the Father;
Cast thy full burden upon Him,
And He will preserve thee in tranquility,
Amidst anxiety, danger, and the floods of trouble;
He will show forth thy righteousness
As the wings of the morning.
