By the River

walking down by the river,
i hear a melody
in slow and soft inflections
beckoning me back.......
the intoned vibrations of the journey
speak to me of life.......a life
singing new worlds into existence.

there is a music
alive in the sonic and lyrical response
of the living soul
trying to locate himself
to understand.......to see.......
and to know, once again
that sense of wonder and beauty.

in subtle whispers and quiet tones
we create a place.......
a map in songline within the heart
slowing to a soft spoken incantation
evoking that moment of eternity;
reconnecting us to feel and touch, and
learning the paths by singing them as we walk.
