Prayer

Prayer is more than petition;
Oftentimes, it is not cast
Into words at all:
In its widest, truest form,
Prayer is the posture
Of devout contemplation of God,
And intercourse with Him,
In the heart, the mind, and the will;
A communion which unites,
Asparation and attainment;
Longing and fruition;
Seeking and finding;
A communion .......
Often lost for words;
Seemingly, actually,
 Transcending all thought.
