Hallucignosis in lieu of the Lord;
....... A bitter exchange .......
Having lost sight of God
Amid the wonders of His Word;
They have laid - low the altar,
And divided the sacrifice into parts;
Being satisfied to count the stones,
And rearrange the pieces,
With never a care - or even a notice -
That there is no sign of Fire
At the summit of holy Carmel:
The radiant wonder is no more.
Thirsting before the Fountain;
Dissembling a pale cuisine:
The hungry look up and remain unfed:
Starving at the Father's table,
While He who would suckle and sustain
Stands and knocks at the door,
Through which He was excused.

Fret Not
I have seen the wicked in great power;
Spreading the noxious and the pernicious
As scum across a summer pond.
Shadowing the righteous;
Designing against the just,
To beguile.......to grind.......and to slay.
An acrid darkness harbors
In the secret-- lurking places;
Lying in wait for the Lord's beloved.
The baneful have drawn the sword,
Bent their bow and made ready the arrow
To smite and defame the ransomed.
But the salvation of the righteous Is of the Lord:
A abundant stronghold in time of trouble.
The sword shall pierce their own heart;
Their bow shall be dashed, as on a Rock;
They shall be snared,
In the work of their own hands.
For as it is written:
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
Be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
Yea, I will uphold thee;
With the Right Hand of My Righteousness."
The battle is the Lord's;
The end thereof is certain.
The redeemed rest,
Sheltered and secure,
Under the Wings of Him
They have come to trust.
Spreading the noxious and the pernicious
As scum across a summer pond.
Shadowing the righteous;
Designing against the just,
To beguile.......to grind.......and to slay.

Proverbs 29:2
Pro 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
You know, I've thought about this for a while; and it's just hard to come up with anything better than this , or anything to add. I will say only this: the separation of the sheep and the goats is at the door, and the Lord will separate His own. The deeper a lamb is in the thickets of the world; the more painful the winnowing will be ------- for the lamb.

A Song of Prayer
Wherewithal shall a man be cleansed?
With my whole heart have I sought Thee;
With my lips have I declared Thee;
I have rejoiced in Thy witness;
Meditated on Thy precepts, and delighted in Thy voice.
I am a stranger in the land.
Open my eyes that I may see Thy marvelous works;
Remove from me Thy reproach and contempt,
For my soul cleaveth unto the dust;
Quicken Thou me according to Thy Word.
In my heart have I chosen the way of Truth;
Incline my soul with Thy Spirit that I may understand;
Invigorate me with Thy Righteousness, for I am devoted to Thy fear;
I trust in Thy Word and hope in Thy judgments;
They are as a song on my pilgrimage.
Thou art good, and doest good unto Thy servants.
The Words from Thy mouth are as breath to me;
My soul faints for Thy salvation;
My eyes are consumed in Thy Word.
Nourish me after Thy tender kindness.
I am thine ....... save me;
For I have unfeignedly sought Thy face.
Accept, I beseech Thee;
The freewill offering of my mouth.
Uphold me, that I may live in Thy hope.
Deal with Thy servant according unto Thy mercy;
For my soul is poured out before Thee,
And my prayer hath consumed me.
Thou art near Oh Lord; Here me according to Thy loving forgivenes
And deliver me with Thy righteous might.
Selah.

The Sterile Seed
The haughty and supercilious,
Contemn and tread
All in their sight.
Deriding the saint -
Despoiling the innocent:
They spew forth muted wisdom,
And an echo of truth,
While casting utterly away
The Holy and the Self-Existent;
As the wanderer-
Arriving at his nightly quarters -
Cuntumeliously,
Throws aside the torch
Which had guided his uncertain steps
Through the darkness.
Making a god of their own hand;
Empowering a sterile seed,
Bestowing only corruption and subversion
On all save the annointed.

The Kingdom
The Kingdom of God;
Pearl of Great Price;
Ornament of the Gospel.
Inhabited by those
Who sought Him not;
Foregathered By inspired husbandry.
The Seed of the Spirit,
Implanted .......Growing secretly
Where non but Thee can see.
Bringing Grace to the soul,
A New tone in the heart;
And dissevering saints
From the domain of men..
A flowering into childly innocence,
A kinship.......Granting access
To the Mystery of the Divine;
And citizenship to those
Bringing forth the fruits thereof.
"Whereunto shall we liken the Kingdom of God?
Or with What comparison shall we compare?"
Hallelujah!!

Enter the Rock
Now has come the age of cold steel;
When the spirits of elsewhere -
Who inhabit the dim land of the wolf,
Are ensceptered for a season.
Magniloquent; contuacious; adept in casuistry,
Questing those hidden in the Bosom of Time.
These hear an untroubled call:
"let him see who sees;
Let him hear who hears;
Enter the rock and hide in the dust,
There is salvation in no other,
Nor safety for the soul."
Onward comes the palmer with his springald;
With the voice of thunder; arrousing fury
As if impaled on pain's own blade;
Actuating bloodlust against all that is holy.
The leaguer is ablaze ....... a sound of trumpets:
The awaited hour approaches.
The shields of his mighty men are colored gule,
Mounted warriors are dressed in sable.
The night is enveloped in flashing steel
As they prepare to march;
"Harness the horses and get up ye horseman,
Don the brigandines and brandish thy cypress spears!"
Chariots shall rage through the streets,
And savage the broad ways,
Scattering to and fro as lightening flashes;
Desolation, desecration, destruction through flaming torches.
Cacophonies of miseries
Through shrouds of murray hue.
While there is yet time: Flee.
He who calls is well able to protect .......
Well able to provide ....... Know ye not,
It is the time of gathering.
Enter thr Rock and hide in the dust;
For alas, consumation is at hand.

Peace
The cry rings out --- Peace. Peace.
Behold;....... for peace,
I had great bitterness:
Blood on the hands;
Gall on the tongue;
Unforgiveness in the heart.
For the way of peace;
I did not Know .......
Could not know.
Mischief came upon mischief;
Suddenly, in the thick of shadows:
A light ....... Overwhelming Light!
I was without strength -- speechless.
Hubris; perfidy exposed ....... slain.
Inchoation ....... efflorescense ....... metempsychosis:
Promise pierced my soul.
A fresh mind; a pure heart; a new life;
Suddenly Awake! ....... Astounded!
The Spirit is Life...and Peace,
Flowing from Him; through the Body;
Unto the world ....... Unrecognized;
Unrequited .......It must be so;
"For the fruit of righteousness
Is sown in the peace of them that make peace.
And He who formed the Light
And created the darkness.
Will keep that soul in peace.

Re: Earthquake in Chile
As I read about the massive earthquake this morning in Chile and the resulting tsunami, my mind raced with prophetic thoughts. Then I went to the Word; I wound up in I Kings 19.Perhaps it is wise to wait for that Still Small Voice that He will surely send to us if there is more to this or if there is something we need to know. That is not to diminish the power of this event or its possible prophetic significance.

Matthew 6: On Prayer
Wisdom enjoins:
As breath is to life,
Prayer is to grace.
Pouring out the soul
to the Father of Lights
in unutterable spasms.
As a freewill offering:
Solemnly; Eternally devoted to Him,
Binding one to another.
Uniting as one,
A hidden Fire
Trembles in the breast.
The burden of a sigh,
The falling of a tear,
When none but God is near.
He delights in infant lips
Entering Heaven on supplication,
Accessing Majesty on High.
Angels in their songs rejoice;
We pray ....... I pray;
Saints unite in prayer.
A source; and an end,
In word, deed, and mind;
We supplicate ....... we receive.
Love to pray ....... pray to love;
We beseech thee Lord,
Teach us to pray.
As breath is to life,
Prayer is to grace.
Pouring out the soul
to the Father of Lights
in unutterable spasms.

Matthew 6; Ensnared
Terrorism. global warming, natural disasters, the economy .....troubles ahead.....worry, fret, stress; the constant struggle to compete.....to keep up.....to survive. This is modern reality for the vast majority of the American population. We are constantly sensually bombarded; seem perpetually connected; almost universally psychoanalyzed; and thoroughly medicated.
We are ensnared on all sides by a failing economy; by a bloated, overaggressive government; by a culture in convulsion. All seems to be in constant flux: truth and values are either cast aside or rewritten to suit the current mood.
Today is the climax of the Babylonian system devised and implemented to enslave us all. We must now choose: either continue to ride the beast to whatever end is in store; or, WE CAN COME OUT.
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all your needs shall be added unto you. Take no thought for tomorrow - rest in the Lord and find true freedom from the continuing din, clatter. and corruption that so beleagers us.
The choice is yours, my friend; and one which will have to be made soon I fear.

Matthew 6; The Light of the Body is the Eye.....
The eye is the lamp of the body, an entrance to the soul, a pathway to the spirit. If thine eye be single mindedly focused on our Lord and His affairs, Thy soul will burn with holiness and your spirit shall shine with the Glory of God.
Peter could walk upon the water only so long as he kept his eye fixed on Jesus. It was not until he took his eye off the Lord, in concern for conditions around him, that he began to sink.
Darkness, is simply the absence of light. Spiritual darkness is a malevolant, predatory evil. It beguiles, it ensnares, and it betrays..........
The evil eye soars
As the falcon in the clouds
To find prey below.

METOIKOS
It was not a dream,
When you thought of me the other night.
I was there,
Standing by you as you awoke.
I was there.
You looked up at me
Glanced at the clock - it was four o seven;
For I was there.
We wept for a season, you and I;
We knew I could not stay.
All alone; so very alone.
So many mistakes, so much foolishness,
I cannot forget; I cannot forgive;
I will never live it down.
Desperation and Agony
to the marrow of my soul;
I will never live it down.
To whom can I turn? Where do I find succor?
It is you I have failed, for it was you.
Only you,
Who believed in me.
I am lost .......... Afraid,
Aimlessly drifting.
How shall I escape this donjon of despair?
I shall not, I fear.
The leaguer is ablaze --
The appointed time is nigh.
Enter the rock and hide in the dust.
For the time has come.
The shields of his mighty men are colored gule,
Mounted warriors are dressed in sable;
The night is enveloped in flashing steel
As they prepare to march
"Harness the horses and get up ye horsemen

Destruction and desolation through flaming torches.
